SHREE GOUDAPADACHARYA KAVALE MUTT
Shreemat Vivaranananda Saraswati Swamiji, after receiving Sanyasa deeksha from Gowdapadacharya’s disciple Govinda Yati, established a mutt in Goa’s Kelosi Mathagrama in mid 8th century. This is the first mutt of Gowda Saraswat Brahmins belonging to Smartha tradition. For diverse reasons, this was relocated to Ponda’s Kavale and was called Gowda Padacharya Kavale mutt. Swami Vivaranananda Saraswati is it’s first Guru. Upasya Deva of the mutt is Panchayatanayukta Shree Bhavani Shankar. Idols of Muralidhara Krishna, Shree Seetaram, Shree Venkataramana and Shree Lakshminarayana are worshipped on Lord’s peeta.
